Sven Wassmer leads our Sports Law Department as well as our Aviation Law Department. He has been practising law since 1998 and joined Monereo Meyer Abogados in 2021.
He is recognised by Lexology Index as “Recommended” in Transport – Aviation, reflecting his strong reputation and technical standing in aviation law, based on peer review and editorial research. In addition, he has been selected for Lexology Client Choice, a distinction based exclusively on client feedback, highlighting excellence in service quality and client experience.
Sven specialises in sports law, advising athletes, athletes’ agents and institutions. He also specialises in aviation law, providing advice to, inter alia, commercial airlines transporting passengers and cargo.
He is a practising member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) and the Stuttgart Bar Association.

Sven studied law at the Universität Tübingen, where he also obtained a doctorate in sports law. In 2000 he validated his law degree in Spain.
He speaks German, Spanish and English.
